However, with some essential pointers men can easily choose the right clothes for every occasion and have women fawning over them. Keep in mind, impressing a woman is not about choosing the right pattern, fabric or style, it is about carrying whatever you wear with ease and confidence.

Color, Cut, Context and Cleanliness add up to create the 4 Cs of dressing for men. Here is a look at each of them in detail.
Color

Did you know that wearing a specific color can send different subconscious and conscious messages to women? Consider the situation when you are waiting in a room and a woman wearing a bright neon orange dress enters. It is possible that you may form an image that she is free spirited and not shy. Such conscious and unconscious judgments are made by everyone on an everyday basis. Similarly, the color you wear can radiate your mood and at times even your personality.
Wearing red has extreme sexual undertones, and when worn correctly, can attract women. It also gives the image of hot-headedness and can be associated with danger. On the other hand, navy blue is the color of trust and stability and is worn by a lot of politicians. If you are shy and reserved in nature, it is okay to stick with blue sweatshirts for men, but it is also a good idea to experiment with red, since it can covey a stronger message. Remember, many women prefer stability to sexual appeal alone, so wearing shades of blue could actually portray you in a positive light. If you want to come across as fun loving, confident and non-threatening, pink is the way to go while a green sweatshirt for men can be worn for a rugged and manly appeal.

The cut is definitely as important as the color. Right from your tailored shirt and skinny pants, the cut of the apparel has certain connotations too. The jeans or trousers that you choose to wear must rest an inch below the top of your hipbones, and shouldn’t expose your boxers. The reason a particular woman did not show interest in talking to you, may be due to the length of you low waist jeans. Most women would not be interested if you are riding low with almost 3 inches of your boxers showing. Also, skinny and fitted trousers are not appropriate. Instead, choose straight, well fitted jeans. Similarly, tailor your shirt to be slightly loose around the chest and shoulders and abstain from tight or baggy shirts. T-shirts must be long enough and cover close to 3 inches of the top of your jeans.

Wearing a particular outfit in the wrong context may direct much unwanted attention and ridicule in your direction. If you are clueless of the dress code to a particular event, discreetly call the organizer and consult with him/her rather than going on guess work. If it is a casual event, such as a birthday party or a movie, jeans, sweatshirts for men or, casual printed t-shirts are the way to go. If you are visiting a restaurant, club or a job interview, stick with polo shirts, khaki prints and dark colored trousers. For formal gatherings, such as weddings, cocktail parties or everyday office, include black shoes, a jacket or blazer, and well fitted black pants.

Do not forget the fourth C and make sure to always wear clean, sweat free and ironed clothes that are comfortable. Since your objective is to impress; unless you are confident in what you are wearing, you will not have leave of an impression.
