One of the best innovations was using the color of rocket fuel in cocktail dresses. This gave the dresses a space age look with a lustrous shine. The colors of rocket fuel were also combined with other hues like shades of red to give the dress a different dimension.

The play of shadows: 2014 fashion trends also saw some shadow play in different fashion weeks, and witnessed the emergence of sheer clothing once again. However, this time, these sheer dresses were not confined to colors only. They also had some artistic detailing done on the arms and bodice, which created a shadowy look.
