Atlanta events pick up in summer as the city enjoys beautiful weather, swimming pools and outstanding local restaurant scene. The next “it” event in the city takes place on August 24 at Mason Murer Fine Art Gallery (199 Armour Dr NE, Atlanta, 30324) bringing legendary movies to the runway.
Fashion Night Out ATL is back with your favorite movies like “The Great Gatsby”, “The Devil Wears Prada”, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, “Fifth Element”, “Memoirs of a Geisha”, “Dreamgirls” and many more inspiring this year’s haute couture runway presentation.For those not yet familiar with Fashion Night Out ATL “FASHION ICON AWARDS”, it’s a designer competition featuring the hottest fashion show and lifestyle experiential benefiting emerging talents. This platform is used to reward designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, models and fashion directors.
This year competing contestants are given a movie theme to inspire their creations, and the results promise to be spectacular. The list of featured designers includes 11 year- old Imani Alsbrook of Peachie Pi featuring “Alice in Wonderland & Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory“; the talented Patrick T. Cooper featuring “AVATAR“; legendary Clothier Guffye’s featuring “The Great Beauty“; 2013 “Fashion Icon Award” Winner Alex Holliman featuring “Dreamgirls“; and Award-winning Extraordinaire Linda Bezuiendhout as the Red Carpet Designer.

It’s important to mention that this year FNO ATL honors Easter Seals and Giving A Hand non-profit organizations as its 2014 beneficiaries; 100% of the silent auction proceeds are being donated to the organizations for their missions.
