After my recent article on perfect smokey eyes in 60 seconds I was encouraged to experiment and explore the subject of easy makeup. While it’s not possible to create sophisticated night or special occasion looks in such a short time, a light, natural daily makeup can be done in one minute. Don’t believe me? Here is a step-by step guide:
How to Put on Makeup in 60 Seconds: Tools You Will Need
Just like the routine itself, tools are minimal. You will need:
- A large powder brush
- A blush brush or a smaller foundation brush to put accents on your face
- One eyeshadow brush (for base eye shadow)
- A thin eye shadow brush or a disposable mascara wand to shape up your brows
- Optional: cotton swabs to wipe off imperfections
How to Put on Makeup in 60 Seconds: Step-by-step
- Skip conturing; apply a small amount of BB or CC cream with your fingers and top it off with one layer of translucent mineral powder.
- Apply some matte bronzer or a darker powder (by 1-2 shades) on your cheek bones and over the areas you would like to make visually smaller (like you would do while conturing) to shape up your face.
- Apply a touch of champagne eye shadow (matte or glossy) over your eye lids (excluding areas right under your eye brows). You can also use any other natural light color.
- Top it off with one layer of mascara.
- Apply one layer of natural color lip gloss (with glitter or without).
- Spray on makeup setting spray.
You are done!
If you have a few seconds left, shape up your eye brows with a drop of hair gel on a small brush or disposable mascara wand: this will keep hairs in place and outline your natural brow line.
