Every time winter rolls around, the ultimate struggle between staying warm and looking cute ensues.
Eventually, many of us give in to the temptation of staying cozy, which can often mean that all of our fashion cares goes out the window. But the truth is, you don’t need to worry about keeping up with every single trend on the runway this season. Just heed a few do’s and don’ts to get you through.DO: Bundle Up!

Oftentimes us ladies skimp on clothing when the goal is to look cute, but you’re not going to feel cute when you can’t feel your toes. Make an effort to find stylish gloves, scarves and ear warmers that will enable you to feel pretty every time you add an accessory.
DON’T: Over-Bundle
Although it’s a little bit in contradiction to what was just advised, there is such a thing as too many layers. When you have three shirts, a sweatshirt and your puffy jacket on, chances are you’re going to look like a snowman and feel like one too.
Additionally, every time you change temperature (like when you walk in a store or sit down at a restaurant) you’re going to have a hellish time readjusting and de-layering. There is a way to stay warm with minimal pieces, and that may just mean investing in a couple of products that you know will keep you warm.

Just because they’re comfortable does not mean they can’t be stylish too! Pair your leggings with a cozy sweater or a chic peacoat and you’ll be on your way. Try out some leather leggings for an evening on the town, or go for some of the tribal leggings that’ll make your ensemble an instant hit.

DON’T: Give in to Your PJs and Sweats
We know, it’s hard to resist. Leggings are a yes, but your old sweatpants from college are a big no. The second you start wearing your pajamas to brunch, you’ve given up all hopes for winter fashion completely.

There’s no need to break the bank this season. Decide which winter fashion trends you absolutely cannot live without and focus on adding those to your closet. Just because flip-flops should be stowed away does not mean your short flowy dresses have to be. You can pair almost any spring dress with a pair of black tights and tall leather boots and you’re good to go. This is when layering a cozy sweater and warm scarf with your outfit will be your best friend.

Staying neutral may be the way to go with your staple pieces, but for your statements, be prepared to pop! Color alone can be enough to accomplish this tasking of stunning the streets, so find a bold bag or hat you can gush over every time you wear it.
