When it comes to setting trends in fashion, clothing is incomplete until complemented with tasteful accessories.
This is why jewelry was more prominent than ever at the London Fashion Week AW14. The catwalks glittered with jewels; all the way from trendy colored watches to tribal nose rings. Scouring through photographs, notes and discussions that we gathered during the five days at LFW, we selected the best styles in jewelry that you are sure to fall in love with!Gold Complimented by Bright Colors

This year, Fashion Week of London mainly showcased jewelry in the base color of gold, representing sheer comparison between the natural components of the olden days and the contemporary technology used by designers. The range offered a complete blend of exciting pieces of past, present and future.
Trend setters in jewelry from UK namely Fernando Jorge, Jo Hayes Ward, Imogen Belfield, Melanie Georgacopoulos, Yunus & Eliza and Tomasz Donocik showcased their Autumn – Winter collections of 2014 to make headlines with the United Sates and international media and network with buyers at LFW ’14 which spanned over five days.
Rock Vault designer Jacqueline Cullen made her first appearance at the event. She is specialized in modern Whitby jet jewelry. Sarah Angold’s collection signified that jewelry trends follow on from the tail-end of the preceding year. The audience witnessed many statement laser-cut Perspex and acrylic pieces in eye-catching bright colors on heavy gold chains, which surely made them captivating.

Semi-Precious Stones

Going through the LFW jewelry collection, we could say there is something trendy for everyone’s taste. For those who are not much fond of urban styles in jewelry, the designers at Fashion Week of London showcased semi-precious stones and bespoke practices of master craftsmen too, inspired by the naturally radiant and colorful stones.
Apart from artificial jewelry and metals, stones were another aesthetic side to the entire collection. From contrasting colors and textures of turquoise, lapis lazuli and onyx in the remembrance of the seventies to the distinguished popular lucent stones such as amethyst, sapphires, purple tourmalines and spinels – the show had it all. Perhaps the less popular stones such as quartz, moonstone and morgranite would catch up with the trends when their astrological stars are fatefully aligned.
Gold-Set Rings and Necklaces

At London Fashion Week we were enraptured by a profusion of gold-set rings with enclosed materials, like amethyst and jet, carefully-carved necklaces inspired by the centuries-old traditions of Indian jewelry, as well as the conventional grace in pearl jewelry for all those women who wear true style.
Let’s not forget the chains. Covered with precious stones at the runway of Chanel and LV, chains revealed the causal side of jewels. However, visitors couldn’t help but drool over the necklaces that were sautoir style and hoop earrings. Seems they are must for every woman who loves multiple rings.
All in all, the Autumn – Winter collection 2014 in jewelry is far more innovative and mesmerizing than last year’s designs!
