10 Habits You didn’t Know Causing You Acne

10 Habits You didn’t Know Causing You Acne appeared first on OLENA.

I am quite stubborn when it comes to believing, that a few of my habits are the reason for my acne breakouts. How is it possible, I play safe all day long, I don’t know how it happens? Even though, the days of those heavy acnes might have gone when you passed out the high school, but some of those problems still persists.

It’s time to move on, you can’t remain stuck with acnes forever. Even a single pimple at this age is embarrassing and frustrating.

Do you why you are still suffering from acnes, what is the cause of pimples? Acne prone people are born with about four to five times more skin cells than the average person and produce more oil than the average person as well. But, there can be other sneaky, under-the-radar ways that you could be irritating your skin. What are those:

1. Touching your face with dirty hands

No matter, if you have washed your hands just an hour ago, you’ll get germs on your hands immediately after you touch anything. Your office keyboard, your phone, your bag everything has germs on it. Touching the face with same hands exposes your face with loads of bacteria which can cause breakouts.

2. Applying make-up even after irritation

Some make-up products and sunscreens have certain ingredients that may cause breakouts. But, this doesn’t call for avoiding your foundation or sunscreens, but it suggests you to keep a watchful eye on the ingredients. Check for the acne offenders in your products—artificial colors, Lanolin (sebum+oil, not good for acne prone skin), mineral oil, petroleum, Isopropyl Myristate (causes skin irritation) and artificial fragrance (use fragrance free products).

This will for sure lets you Get rid of acne instantly.

3. Using dirty make-up applicators

Now, that you have tested all our make-up ingredients, it’s time to check how clean your make-up tools are. Your make-up tools are crawling with bacteria and dead skin cells, making them absolute zit factories. Keep your brushes clean by washing them with cleanser or shampoo.

4. Over drying your face

Washing your oily face again and again with harsh soaps, alcohol based face wash and cleansers dries out your face entirely. And, we don’t know the fact that our skin is much more complicated than that. When you rip off your face with all the oil, it start producing more oil in order to compensate. This leads to the vicious cycle of acnes. Try to follow a healthy skincare routine, keep yourself hydrated but not greasy.

5. Applying Pressure

What is pressure induced acnes? It is exactly what is sounds—acnes caused due to pressure. Pressure from your mobile on your face, or any instrument like violin and even hands when you rest your face on them. This expose you to thousands of bacteria and the force of these bacteria against the face causes you to breakout.

6.Internal pressure

What exactly is this internal pressure? No, not literally, it means the mental pressure, tension, stress. Stress leads to heart pumping, stomach churning and wrinkles, but you know, stress also release hormones that can cause acne breakouts. Then what is good for skin? Chilling out, though it can be quite dandy, but you can do things to reduce the drama. For this, you have to check with your doctor if stress is causing breakouts and what you can do to avoid them.

7.Oily hair products

We all know oiling your head is necessary, but oiling your face with that isn’t a great idea. How many times your hair touches your face, you can see its impact on your face sooner or later. Hair products with oil, silicones and plasticizers clog your pores if they get onto your skin, so if you want to wear your hair down (or have fringe touching your forehead), try to steer clear of products with those ingredients. Follow a healthy skincare routine.

8. Eating hurriedly

Eating oily we all know gives us breakouts, but eating like monkey while you are in a rush can give you more. When you eat, the residue of some foods get stuck around your mouth, making the area oily and greasy, thereby leading to acnes. It happens especially when you don’t clean the mouth immediately. The oil gets stuck and you get struck—with acnes of course.

9. Scratching your face with Dirty nails

Your hands alone aren’t responsible, the main culprit here are your nails. Unclean nails, obviously you can’t clean them after every activity which fills them up with germs, bacteria and other acne causing agents. Keep your nail filer handy to avoid such instances. Keep’em clean to the core. This is what is good for your skin.

10. Spraying perfume

We prefer not to use fragrance agents in our make-up and our detergents, however perfumes can also cause skin irritation. While spraying perfume on the body, try to avoid spraying fragrance on your face. Try to spray the perfume while keeping it closer to areas you want to spray on and steer clear from bath and shower products with added fragrance.

What is the cause of pimples in my life? I hope, your question has been answered here and therefore it can help you follow the healthy skincare routine.
